Wish me luck?

So…the bad news is that I still have the sniffles. I have been sick for a few days getting by on Vicks, Kleenex Lotion, Dora the Explorer popsicles(which are very educational), and lets not forget, chicken noodle soup, or “sick soup” as a good friend of mine calls it.:) I’m feeling significantly better today, but I’m still a little stuffed up. Under normal circumstances, this would be fine, but I am only annoyed because I have two important things happening tomorrow.

Important thing #1:

I have to wake up in 5 hours to spend my entire morning taking two Praxis exams in a room full of test takers. These tests basically make sure that I have the competence to be an educator in the United States. If I don’t meet the requirements, then my teaching certificate could be withheld until I pay the ridiculous fee and take it again. I’m honestly more worried that I might not be able to bring my box of Kleenex in with me. So if my nose starts running away from me, I’ll be the sniffly girl in the room that everybody hates because she distracts them every 12 seconds for four hours with a sniffle. I hate that girl! Yet, that will probably be me unless some drastic healing sleep overtakes me tonight. I apologize in advance fellow testees…that doesn’t sound right…Test Takers, and good luck tolerating me.

Important thing #2:

I have a show tomorrow! I’ve asked my friends to send healthy thoughts my way, so hopefully I’m up to par by 7:00pm. I’m very excited about it as it is the grand reopening of Locus Live and I’ll get to share the stage with Cary Judd(very talented one man band). ALSO, I’m going to try out some new material at the concert, so come on over and give it a listen!

AND just as I was planning on ending my post, one of my bestest friends just told me the good news of her engagement! CONGRATS Alex and Blake! You are a beautiful couple and I wish you a life full of daisies and lemonade! :)

Peace Out
