music is bliss…

So maybe I was being a tad dramatic with my post about finals week…but I got through it like I always (by the skin of my teeth).  Apparently my teeth have skin now.

I hitched a ride with a couple friends and we made the trek back to Canada.  We each ranged between getting 0-4 hours of sleep, so it was another miracle that we made it home all right.

I was welcomed home on Saturday night by the aroma of gingerbread cookies…it doesn’t get any better than that.  Sunday afternoon was spent cooking and baking with my mom and sister.  I’ve come to realize that cooking enjoyment increases exponentially when I have people to cook for/with.  Seriously, I cannot remember the last time that I cooked for only myself.  This is probably why my diet for the past few weeks has consisted of primarily Eggos, raw veggies, plain cheese, apples, and Pita Pit.   Lets just say that my mama’s cooking is kind of appreciated :)

Now I am in the studio with and musical fusion is happening.  Lynnae and I blend so well, it’s almost freakish.  I’m listening to her sing harmonies right now, and goosbumps are forming.  For real.  I am so excited about the outcome of this song.  It has been a delight to work on today, and I might actually be sad when I no longer get to work on this song.  (we’re doing a version of version of Hide and Seek with sweet piano, xylophone, double bass, ect).  This will be epic.  I’m famished, but I don’t even care right now.

Music is bliss.
